The Solar Eclipse that has been written about and covered extensively over the last several days has finally arrived. Eclipses are natural marvels that have fascinated mankind since the beginning of their existence. They represent a vibrational shift for everyone on the planet that will affect each of us on some level.
Many of us are wondering how it will affect us, if at all. I believe that the eclipse is a special moment in our spiritual growth and can be used as a portal that can be entered into to hold an intention and move into another dimension of self-awareness.
We are being prompted and encouraged to work with the current solar eclipse energy to rise in consciousness for the betterment of ourselves, and for humanity to shift and realign our heart and soul by letting go of separation and other issues that have divided us as a people on all levels. The energy of an eclipse generally lasts up to six months.
New Moons represent the time of new beginnings and fresh new starts. A Solar Eclipse is a more powerful new moon with exponential power that can have dramatic and longer lasting effects prior and after.
Whether you see the eclipse in person or read about it through social media sources available on-line, it’s important to set your intentions with a ritual exercise during any New Moon.
Setting Your Solar Eclipse Meditation Ritual
- Imagine you are in the portal of the Solar Eclipse.
- Clear any negative energy from your portal by burning smudge-dried sage, incense or Palo Santo.
- Light your candle – white is best for Eclipse.
- Ground yourself and connect to the whole of the Universe.
- Clear your mind with or without music.
- Make a list of five things that are no longer useful. Meditate on that for 3-5 minutes. Burning this list is a good way to really get rid of what you no longer want.
- Make a list of five things you want to draw to you. Mediate on that for 3-5 minutes.
- Make your wishes real by writing them down in your journal.
- Set your dreams in motion by saying the following affirmation:
